Burglary Charges
Burglary is a very serious criminal offense that can result from seemingly minor behavior. Conviction has serious consequences because it is considered a crime of moral turpitude. This will impact your ability to get a job in the future. Burglary can be charged as a misdemeanor or as a felony, depending on the degree, and can also be considered a “strike”.

Domestic Violence
Domestic violence cases (DV) are treated very seriously. Depending on the severity of the offense, and the history of the alleged offender, DV cases can be filed as a misdemeanor or felony. If there is serious injury involved, sentencing enhancements will usually be added. It is not uncommon for these cases to arise out of false or exaggerated claims.

Three Strikes Law
“Strike” allegations are prior felony convictions added to a felony charging document that meet the definition set forth in Penal Code sections 1192.7 and 667.5(c). If you have a strike allegation, you allegedly have already been convicted of a qualifying strike. This doubles the possible sentence on the current charge. If it is a “third strike”, the sentence is increased to a possible 25 years to life in prison.
